Maryssa Barron

Founder & CEO

Maryssa leads BuildQ with a passion for uniting technology, finance, and creative contracting to drive real-world impact. Leveraging her background in renewable energy development and project finance, she combines deep industry expertise and strategic thinking to tackle the toughest challenges facing critical infrastructure projects. Maryssa holds a bachelor’s degree from Harvard University and a Juris Doctor from Stanford Law School, and is a licensed attorney in the District of Columbia.

Robert Schmitt

CTO

Robert is an accomplished CTO with a track record of scaling B2B and B2C SaaS companies to billions in revenue. He brings deep expertise in AI, machine learning, and web architecture, combining engineering leadership with strategic growth to deliver transformative, revenue-driving platforms. At BuildQ, he leads technology strategy, driving innovation and operational excellence while turning complex systems into scalable success.

Harshan Jeyakumar, CFA

CFO

Harshan specializes in renewable energy project finance, with 20+ years of experience advising developers and investors on structuring transactions and allocating capital. His insights into financial modeling, policy frameworks, and risk management are instrumental in BuildQ's operations.

Michael Maddox

VP, Engineering

Michael is a seasoned software engineer and tech leader with 20+ years experience. He has architected and delivered cloud-based solutions, contributing to scaling a startup to a $1B valuation. He leads engineering efforts with his expertise in data processing, custom search algorithms, cloud technologies, and tools including Ruby on Rails, Elasticsearch, NLP, and AI development.

Camille Norton

Business Operations Manager

Camille manages business operations, client services, and communications at BuildQ. She brings a background in tech communications and climate tech project management, with past roles at a carbon conversion technology startup and a tech PR agency focused on emerging technologies. Based in NYC, Camille also holds a graduate degree from Columbia’s Climate School.

Eric Rochford

Senior Software Engineer

Eric brings 10+ years of experience building reliable, scalable, and production-grade systems. As a full stack engineer, he has developed core systems powering some of the largest platforms in real estate. At BuildQ, he leads the design of cloud-native infrastructure and AI-driven workflows, using distributed systems to enable intelligent, data-driven automation.

Annalisa leads product design at BuildQ, bringing 15+ years of experience in UX and systems design. She has a proven record of creating high-impact tools for top agencies, early-stage startups, and global tech companies, combining strategic insight with a discerning eye for scalable systems that shape both the product and brand.
